I am a morning person. But not before 7:00 am. 🙂
The Fall of 2015 Race and I became empty nesters. After having a child (or four!) living at home with us for over 30 years we had reached this new season of life. Our adjustment period lasted… oh, a day or two and then we were forward bound!

Creating the Love

I’ve always had an image in my head of who I would grow up and be. I see all these cool people on Facebook, artist type folks, with pink hair and tats, crazy socks, and creative clothing. And I think, “I’m creative. Hey! I majored in ART.” But here I sit in my conservative-style world. Wearing jeans and t-shirts. And flip flops. Read more

Creating and Designing

This is what the LORD says — he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness…”

 OK. So that is kinda a long scripture. But it really speaks to this new phase of life I am currently living. Trusting God. New beginnings. Looking ahead. Yet learning from the past.
